My name is Kathleen Gaudio, but most people still call me by my maiden name, Malloy. I am a proud neighborhood girl, born and raised in Mayfair. I grew up in St. Bernard Parish and attended elementary school there as well. St Hubert was my home during the high school years. I thrived in school, studied constantly, and took AP classes in high school. Math, Science, and Art have always been my favorite subjects. I attended dancing school for about 15 years, and performed in all of the high school plays, along with other activities after school. My first job was hostess at the Dining Car at the age of 15. After high school, I studied at Temple University where I received my BS in Education. I immediately started a job with the Philadelphia School District teaching 8th grade. I attended Saint Joseph University at night and earned an MS in Education. After five years as a teacher in public schools, I became a Catholic school teacher and began to love my job again. Presently, I am in my twelfth year of teaching. I have four children, I love walking, biking, and cooking, and I still love my job. I believe in supporting my community, doing the right thing, and enjoying life with family. I thank all the parents who support Catholic Education, and commend parents and guardians who work with teachers collaboratively and educate their children at home. Teamwork makes the dream work!!
