Hello! My name is Kristine Gasiewski. I began teaching in 2006 after graduating from Chestnut Hill College with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I taught technology to first through fifth graders at Norwood Fontbonne Academy in Chestnut Hill for three years. I then taught Kindergarten at St. Genevieve in Flourtown for one year. I also worked at Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Day Care for a short time. I have two daughters who both attend Blessed Trinity. Catie is in fifth grade and Bridget is in fourth grade. In 2016 both girls were in school full time so I signed on to volunteer in the school library twice a week. In March of 2017 I took on a long term sub position in third grade and was thrilled to be asked to stay on as a second grade teacher full time. This will be my second year teaching 5th and 6th grade Science and Social Studies and my first teaching 5th grade music.
In my free time I love reading, watching movies, and going out with Catie, Bridget, and my husband Jim. Now that our girls are getting older they are getting more and more involved in their own activities. Catie dances, Bridget does gymnastics, both are in Girl Scouts as Juniors. They are involved in CYO sports for St. Tim's. Our favorite thing to do during the summer is to go to Camp COLEY for which I am on the year round staff that works to plan out this amazing experience for boys and girls!
We like spending time with both of our families and our dogs Peter Pan and TinkerBell. Catie and Bridget love spending time with their cousins, all 9 of them plus many more "cousins". Every Friday night we have Pizza night with my in-laws.
Thanks for coming by to learn more about me! Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or concerns. Kgasiewski@btrcs.org
